CNS Balaka: Progress - in spite of Covid-19.

Back in February 2020, we were pleased to announce the opening of a brand new CNS branch in Balaka. The building had been started and work was underway to ensure we were ready for the new school year. Unfortunately, plans were derailed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, you may recall, back in July, we were on track to reopen dependant on how the COVID situation but those plans had to get revised once again.

Regardless, we continued the building works as efficiently as possible given the circumstances and we are really pleased with the progress that has been made.

The building for the Balaka branch is almost finished with only the flooring and windows left. We would like to thank all our sponsors and those that have supported us in this endeavor.

In the same spirit, we are pleased to announce the children are now expected to return to school on 12 October 2020. We are satisfied the appropriate safety measures can be implemented to allow a safe environment for the children to continue their learning. Our porridge program will cease, however, until further notice due to Covid-19 safety concerns.

As always, we want to thank everyone who has supported us and continues to support us; none of this would be possible without your support.

If you would like to get involved and offer your support in any way, please reach out and we will be happy to chat with you.
